What Is Threaded Rebar?

Threaded rebar is reinforcing bar with threads cut or rolled onto one or both ends, so you can couple it, run a nut on it, or tie it into a structural connection. We fabricate it in #3 through #18J bar (A615 Gr. 60/80), plus dual-thread bars and then cut, thread, and hot-dip galvanize it at our Houston rebar facility. The same bar feeds our anchor bolt cages.

Threaded Rebar Products We Fabricate

Every order out of our Houston rebar facility is built to a drawing. The configurations we run most:

  • Threaded rebar, single- or double-end threaded reinforcing bar, #3 through #18J
  • Dual-thread bars, bars threaded both ends for coupling and anchoring
  • Cut and bent bar, fabricated to your bar list and bend schedule

Building cages? Our anchor bolt cages are assembled from the same #14J and #18J bar. Pair either with our custom anchor bolts.

Rebar Sizes We Work With

Threaded rebar runs the full standard bar range, #3 through #18J (A615 Gr. 60/80). Anchor bolt cages are built in #14J and #18J (A615 Gr. 75).

Threaded, Cut & Galvanized in Houston

We cut and thread rebar at our Houston rebar facility, then hot-dip galvanize it in-house per ASTM A767 so it ships ready to set. The coating goes on right where we fabricate, so it stays consistent and there is no outside galvanizer to wait on, which matters most on buried foundation and pole-base bar that never gets re-coated. More on our in-house hot-dip galvanizing services.

AISC Certified, Traceable Every Lot

We’re an AISC certified fabricator with a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) on staff. Every cage and threaded-rebar order traces back to the heat, backed by mill test reports (MTRs). From raw bar to galvanized cage, the same quality team signs off on every lot. See our full quality and safety standards.

Threaded rebar in #3 through #18J, that is 3/8-inch bar up to the 2-1/4-inch #18J bar, in A615 Gr. 60 and Gr. 80. Bar size, grade, thread, and length all come off your drawing.

Yes, in-house. Threaded rebar gets hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A767 on the same property we fabricate it, so the coating is even and there is no outside-galvanizer delay, which matters most on buried bar that never gets re-coated.

Yes. We assemble, weld, and tag #14J and #18J anchor bolt cages from the same bar at our Houston rebar facility. See our anchor bolt cages page for cage configurations, sizes, and galvanizing.
