Madden Bolt fabricates custom steel embeds and concrete embed assemblies for structural connections, embed plates, F1554 anchor bolt assemblies, threaded studs, headed concrete anchors, shear connectors, jam nuts, and anchor plates, all welded, drilled, and finished to your engineer’s detail. Every embed gets hot-dip galvanized in-house on the same property we built it, so you get one source, even zinc coverage, and nobody else’s schedule slowing you down. AISC certified, family-owned since 1988.
Steel embeds (also called concrete embeds, embed plates, or embedded plates) are steel pieces cast into concrete to leave a permanent anchor point for a connection that comes later. The typical embed is a plate with studs, anchors, or shear connectors welded to the back face. We build each embed to the project’s connection detail and hot-dip galvanize it in-house before it ships, so the connection shows up complete, coated, and traceable.
Every embed out of our Houston shop is built to a drawing. The configurations we run most:
Need the bolts that go with the embed? Add our custom anchor bolts and get the whole connection as one source. For bigger structural steel, see our custom steel fabrication.
Embeds get built start to finish in our Houston shop. We cut plates to size, drill holes to the connection pattern, weld studs and anchors with qualified welders, and finish every assembly to the drawing before it heads to galvanizing. Same shop does the cutting, the welding, and the coating, no hand-off between trades, and one quality team signs off on the finished embed.
Steel embeds get hot-dip galvanized in-house per ASTM A123 (fabricated steel), A153 (bolts, nuts, and washers), and F2329, on the same property we built the embed. Our kettle has run next to the fab shop since 2007, so zinc thickness stays even across the whole assembly, one QC team owns the part from raw steel to finished, and there’s no outside schedule to wait on. An embed buried in concrete never gets re-coated, so that even coverage is the thing that counts. More on our in-house hot-dip galvanizing services.
We’re an AISC certified fabricator with a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) on staff. Every embed order traces back to the heat, backed by mill test reports (MTRs). From plate cutting through final galvanizing, the same quality team signs off on every lot. See our full quality and safety standards.
Steel embeds (concrete embeds, embed plates, embedded plates, same thing) are steel pieces cast right into concrete so you’ve got an anchor point waiting for the next connection. The usual one is a plate with studs, anchors, or shear connectors welded to the back. We build them to whatever connection detail your job calls for.
Concrete embed plates and embed assemblies, ASTM F1554 anchor bolt assemblies, threaded studs, headed studs, shear connectors, jam nuts, and anchor plates. Each one gets welded, drilled, and finished to the engineer’s drawing, anything from a plain bearing plate to a busy embedded assembly with a bunch of anchors and a full stud pattern.
Yes. Embeds get hot-dip galvanized in-house per ASTM A123 (fabricated steel), A153 (bolts, nuts, and washers), and F2329, on the same property we fabricated them. Zinc thickness comes out even across the whole assembly, and you skip the outside-galvanizer step that holds up most embed orders.
Embed plates are usually A36 carbon steel, and we step up to A572 Grade 50 when the drawing wants more strength. Anchors and studs follow the connection detail, typically ASTM F1554 anchor bolts and headed or threaded studs. Whatever grade and dimensions your drawing calls out, that’s what we build.
Embeds show up everywhere structural steel or equipment meets a concrete foundation, slab, or wall, LNG export terminals, power generation plants, petrochemical and refining units, data centers, infrastructure. We ship them nationwide.
