Madden Bolt runs multiple Houston facilities, led by our main Hempstead Road shop, where six trades run in-house — fabrication, threading, plate cutting, rebar and anchor-cage assembly, and hot-dip galvanizing — all on one property. A separate Rebar Facility handles our #14J and #18J anchor bolt cages, and a third property is on the way. Nothing goes to an outside vendor for fabrication or galvanizing, so we turn work faster than shops that subcontract their coating.
Our Houston steel fabrication facility is built around one idea: keep every step of the job in-house. Steel comes in, and it leaves as a finished, galvanized part, cut, drilled, welded, threaded, and coated without a single trip to an outside vendor. The layout is how we make good on that. Six trades share the same property, the same scheduling, and the same quality team, which is exactly why a Madden Bolt order doesn’t get stuck waiting between buildings. The galvanizing kettle came online in 2007, fabrication services followed in 2008, and the dedicated fabrication shop in 2016.
Here’s what runs on the lot, and what each area turns out:
| Capability | What It Produces |
|---|---|
| Fabrication shop | Anchor bolts, embeds, brackets, sole plates, base plates, sleeves, weldments, and structural shapes (angle, beam, channel, pipe) |
| Threading | UNC and 8-UN; single- and double-end threaded rod and all-thread |
| Plate cutting | High-precision plate cutting for custom steel components |
| Rebar Facility (2021, separate site) | Threaded rebar #3–#18J; anchor cages #14J & #18J |
| Hot-dip galvanizing | In-house corrosion protection per ASTM A123, A153, F2329, and A767, on the same property since 2007 |
The galvanizing line is the heart of how single-source works here. Our kettle has run on the same property as the fab shop since 2007, putting corrosion protection on anchor bolts, steel embeds, rebar, and fabricated steel per ASTM A123, A153, F2329, and A767. The coating goes on right where the part was made, so zinc thickness stays consistent lot to lot, one QC team owns it from raw steel to finished part, and nobody else’s schedule slows it down. To keep up with demand for threaded rebar and anchor cages, we opened a dedicated Rebar Facility (17223 Kermier Rd, Hockley, TX 77447) — a separate Houston location — in 2021. It added throughput and cut lead times nationwide, with room to assemble, weld, and tag large #14J and #18J cages and tie-down assemblies for transmission, foundation, and pole work. We build each cage to the engineer’s approved drawings.
High-precision plate cutting feeds the fab floor accurate blanks for embeds, base plates, and custom components, and those parts move straight into welding, drilling, and finishing. That’s how we run custom steel fabrication end to end (brackets, weldments, sole plates, leveling plates, sleeves, structural shapes) built and galvanized in the same building.
A shop this tightly run is built for one thing: getting the right part out the door fast. With fabrication, threading, plate cutting, and galvanizing all on the same property, we handle standard, rush, and expedited orders without the lag that comes from subcontracting. And speed never costs us quality, the shop runs to AISC certified quality and safety standards, with full traceability on every lot. Learn more about Madden Bolt.
We fabricate and galvanize in Houston, Texas. The fabrication shop, threading, plate cutting, rebar and cage assembly, and the hot-dip galvanizing kettle all sit on the same property, and we ship the finished work nationwide. Call the shop at 713.939.9999.
It means a part can get cut, drilled, welded, threaded, and hot-dip galvanized without ever leaving the building. Fabrication and galvanizing share the same property and the same QC team, so there’s nothing handed off to a third party and nothing waiting on an outside vendor’s calendar. That’s the main reason our lead times beat shops that subcontract their coating.
It’s dedicated space we put up in 2021 to add capacity for #14J and #18J anchor bolt cages and cut lead times for customers nationwide. It gives us room to assemble, weld, and tag large rebar cages and tie-down assemblies and get them out to the job site fast.
Yes. Our hot-dip galvanizing kettle has run on the same property as the fab shop since 2007. We galvanize anchor bolts, embeds, rebar, and fabricated steel in-house per ASTM A123, A153, F2329, and A767, right where the parts were made, which keeps zinc thickness consistent lot to lot.
Yes. Every step happens in-house, so the shop is built for speed. We run standard, rush, and expedited schedules all the time for LNG, power generation, petrochemical, infrastructure, and data center projects across the country.
